In Memoriam: Officer Timothy Laird
I took a brief pause yesterday to reflect on the life of Office Timothy “Jake” Laird of the Indianapolis Police Department and the sacrifice that he made for his fellow officers and the people of Indiana. Courtesy of the Indianapolis Star - here are a few pictures to remind us all of what he gave:

I have to say that seeing this memorial was a shock to me. That Tim died protecting others is not. I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him I served with Tim as a United States Marine at the Marine Corps Recruiting School in San Diego, CA.
In the time that we served together. Tim was a fantastic guy with a tremendous sense of humor. He also had the courage to standup for what was right. He will be greatly missed by me.
