All I really know right now is that I’m sick and tired of Hurricanes.
Wilma, Fred, Barney, whatever they are. All they do is leave rubble behind…

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying. The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun,
The higher he’s a-getting,
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he’s to setting.
That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times still succeed the former.
Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime
You may for ever tarry.

After about ten months of hiatus, Sgt Hook is back:
Damn, it’s good to be back. It looks like I’ll have to clean the place up a bit, dust, sweep, and maybe make some repairs, but it sure does feel comfortable in here. Almost like sitting in an old worn leather recliner. I’ll ask your patience as I find myself re-learning the art of blogging both creatively and technically (not that I had previously mastered either) so if you notice a broken link, a typo, or anything nonsensical feel free to dress me down and set me straight.

Living in Boston nearly forces one to fall in love with the local sports teams. While I never became a serious Boston Bruins fan or New England Patriots fan, I am a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox.
They were taken out of the playoffs yesterday – swept by the Chicago White Sox. And I never watched a game.
I attribute this fact as the reason that they lost and have resolved myself to being a more serious fan in 2006. So today, I wear my Boston Red Sox shirt with pride here in Minnesota Twins country!

Eighteen months ago, my team, celebrating my 30th birthday at my house, gave me a bottle of Johnny Walker Gold.
Tonight, having a quiet get-together with four friends, I finished it while listening to a bit of Norah Jones.
Happy 30th! Eighteen months later!
