From what I've heard, it's god-awful in snow with the standard come-with tires, but does quite well indeed with a set of winter wheels and some decent winter tires. I had a similar experience with my Kia -- the tires and wheels that came with it were crap, but a new set of wheels and tires made a world of difference, esp. in foul-weather handling.
